Daniel A. Sabol, Esq. is a Principal and Partner with Limbert Sabol Law LLC. In this role, Dan counsels public and private employers on labor and employment matters and provides guidance on compliance, contract review and other legal matters to alleviate stress for in-house counsel, business owners and HR Directors. Dan also represents individuals, businesses and organizations on business law matters, as well as wills, trusts and estate planning and bad faith insurance claims.

Dan currently serves as the Director of Administrative Practice and Investigations at the consulting firm Clemans Nelson and Associates in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, Dan represents clients before the State Employment Relations Board, OCRC, EEOC and other administrative agencies, as well as oversees CNA’s workplace investigations. Dan advises clients in human resource management, labor relations and negotiations, regulatory compliance, discipline, and policy development. He regularly conducts training on a variety of human resource and labor issues such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, discrimination/harassment, and the use of social media in the workplace. 

Prior to joining CNA and Limbert Sabol Law, out of law school, Dan represented public and private sector employers at management side firms, including extensive litigation at the State and federal level, before joining SERB as its Labor Relations Administrator and ALJ in Jan. 2022. In this role, Dan oversaw SERB’s Representation and ULP Investigations departments, with his departments processing, investigating and making final recommendations on approximately 1,300 cases over 4 years, with 0 decisions overturned by the courts on appeal or mandamus. 

Dan is an adjunct faculty member at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, teaching Franchise Law. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Trine University, teaching graduate level courses at the School of Business. Dan is the co-editor of the Ohio State Bar Association Labor and Employment newsletter, a member of the OSBA L&E section council and the Secretary/Treasurer for the Central Ohio Labor & Employment Relations Association. Dan has also been a guest speaker at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
